São Paulo-born singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Iara Rennó spent more than 13 years researching, creating and producing a project about Brazil's most widely revered orixás, resulting in two complementary albums. “Oríkì”, released in 2022, features contributions from Tulipa Ruiz, Anelis Assumpção, Lucas Santtana, Curumin, Criolo, Carlinhos Brown and Thalma de Freitas, and was nominated for the 2022 Latin Grammy for Best Portuguese Language Roots Music Album. “Orí Okàn” followed in 2023, continuing this spiritual journey. While the first record is an act of praise, the second is a return to the self, featuring healing songs, a contemplative atmosphere and a reinterpretation of Serena Assumpção's “Iemanjá”. We led the release of both albums, developing the release plan, timeline and content production, as well as managing social media and paid media campaigns, with the care needed to bring such delicate and powerful work to the right audience.
